The Star Jones Lisa Rinna feud is getting ugly

16 Mar

The “Celebrity Apprentice” teammates attempted to work together in the name of charity, but after Rinna was booted the drama really got started.

What is up with Star Jones? NeNe Leakes let her feelings be known about Star on the Wendy Williams show. Jones tried to hold back in an interview with Daytime Confidential, but ended up going off and saying:

“We’re not on the same level. Lets make that clear. We’re on the same show… In all honesty, I would never compare myself to another African-American woman. I would never tear down another African-American woman in order to elevate myself. Cream rises to the top and water seeks its own level.”

On this week’s episode of the hit Donald Trump show, Rinna was appointed team leader on a children’s book project, but ended up hearing the dreaded words, “You’re Fired.” Rinna blamed Jones on the show for trying to take full credit for writing the book, and the now the friction has apparently grown dramatically behind the scenes: Rinna began sending nasty tweets about Jones, including posting pics comparing the former “View” co-host to some scary Halloween masks (which she’s since deleted), and she reportedly sent some nasty e-mails to Jones.

According to E!, Jones is “taking this very seriously” and has lawyered up; she has been collecting the evidence and has presented it to NBC’s legal department, which has warned Rinna to stop. A rep for Jones tells E!, “Star declined to make the cause of concern public as to not take away from her purpose of doing the show, which is charity.”

WOW…that’s so high school. Somebody send these ladies to the Principal’s office.

Cristy Rice Talks Real Housewives of Miami

16 Mar

New Times: You and the ladies are the first Latina housewives. How does that feel?

Cristy Rice: It’s one of the main reasons I did the show. I wanted to show the country a Latina woman, something that has never been done on Bravo.

Doing a reality show can either go really well or well, terrible. What made you want to do the show?

I said no a million times, but eventually no turned into a yes. I actually turned down the show a few times.

You start of the show as a single lady. Do you have a man in your life these days?

I’m still single.

Is it weird to be one of the only wives with an actual job?

I have had my clothing store for about 10 years and I just took it online. I actually just created a line of accessories and a line of workout wear, so I have been busy.

Bethenny Frankel turned Real Housewives of New York into a full blown empire. Is that a reason you did the show?

It was something that was already in the works, so it can’t hurt, right?

You’re also an ex-basketball wife. Did they ever offer you Basketball Wives on VH1?

Yes, they actually offered me that show first. And I turned that show down to and I decided to go with this show. And then I called Larsa and got her on board.

Pat Riley’s wife, Chris, told us that show is pretty unrealistic of what it’s like to be a wife of someone in the NBA. Do you agree?

Well, I don’t watch it actually. But I know a few of the girls on it. None of them were truly wives like I was. I was married for over 10 years, so I mean, it’s obviously different then from what you see.

Do you think they make actual basketball wives look bad?

My experience as a basketball wife was beautiful. I had a great relationship with my husband. We’re actually still friends. I had another side too, which was the wife of a retired basketball player.

What does your ex, retired NBAer Glen Rice, think of you doing the show?

We talk all the time. He wishes me well.

Pauly D Named Exclusive Resident DJ For Palms Casino

15 Mar

Real House Wife of Beverly Hills Adrienne Maloof, her mother and four brothers comprise the Maloof Family dynasty whose multi-faceted sports and entertainment enterprise includes the Sacramento Kings, Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

The family Dynasty has made a move to turn Las Vegas  t even hotter! The Palms Casino Resort and 9 Group just announced Pauly D as the latest exclusive resident DJ for Sin City’s hottest hotel brand. Just in case you didn’t get enough of your boy Paulie on  “Jersey Shore” , now you can catch Pauly spinning live at Rain, Moon, and the Palms Pool & Bungalows throughout 2011.

“As a DJ, it has always been a dream of mine to have a residency in Las Vegas, so I am really honored to call Palms, the ultimate music destination, my second home this year,” reveals Pauly D. “Everyone at Palms and 9 Group have always been so exceptionally kind to me, and I am very excited to incorporate my style into their already incredible events.”

“This is huge for me. It’s what I’ve always wanted, and I can’t wait to start,” Pauly D explained, who has been doing the DJ circuit around the States when he’s not filming Jersey Shore.

“For me this is the biggest thing I could ever ask for,” he said. “I have been deejaying my entire life, and for the Palms to lock me down as a resident DJ, I’ve reached my ultimate goal.”

Life & Style reports that Pauly D will be the first-ever DJ to work on all the Palms properties, which made me realize that this isn’t some two-bit gig.

Tami and Evelyn Lozada Catfight

10 Mar

See the whole clip.
Can’t think of anything more awful than being made to look like a fool. Talk about betrayal and breaking the girl code!
But the bigger question is this, do reality show like Basketball Wives and Real House Wives of Atlanta hurt black women? Why is it that we get the most attention when we are at our worst?

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Cast Without Stars

1 Mar

Let’s face it. It would be hard to top the Season 11 excitement of Jennifer Grey reconnecting with her “Dirty Dancing” past and Bristol Palin’s buzzy third-place finish. But by all accounts, the “DWTS” cast for Season 12 is, well, a stumble.

The biggest problem with the 11 contestants of the dance competition: Where are the actual “stars”? Many bloggers are complaining that the lineup is hardly must-see. The cast includes “Fat Actress” Kirstie Alley, former boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, TV talk-show host Wendy Williams, the original “Karate Kid” Ralph Macchio, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward, and Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson.

Movieline’s Christopher Rosen complained, “It’s always easy to harp on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ for having precious few stars, but this feels particularly egregious.”

The new cycle includes outliers that will hardly be recognizable to most viewers — such as “Psycho”Mike Catherwood, a co-host of the radio program “Loveline.” Also competing this season is the rap artist Romeo, newbie Disney Channel actor Chelsea Kane, supermodel Petra Nemcova, and wrestler Chris Jericho.

Even the pros won’t be as sizzling this season. Derek Hough — the fancy-footed dancer who partnered with winner Grey last season — will be taking a break for Season 12.

The cast managed to leave The New York Times cold: “The roster of semi- and never-were-celebs for the 12th season of that popular reality competition may not include anyone as instantly fascinating as, say, Bristol Palin.”

In fact, the celeb who has gotten the most attention this season is one who won’t even be appearing on the show: Failed Delaware Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell turned down the gig to focus on her new book.

The lead-up to the announcement certainly held interest on the Web. Searches on “dwts 2011 cast rumors” leaped 2,875% in just one day. Viewers also wanted to know “who is on dancing with the stars,” “new dancing with the stars contestants,” and “dwts 2011 cast and partners.”

But hey, even a trainwreck of a cast can hold a certain appeal. Stay tuned.via Claudine Zap, Yahoo! Buzz

I think its rude for them to say that the people on the show aren’t stars. They have all had fame at one point or another in their respective careers. They might not be as well known as others but they are still stars. Many know Jennifer Grey PURELY because of the fact that she was in Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze. After she got a nose job and changed her face her career was in the morgue. So these critics can shut up. I will definitely be tuning in to watch this season. I love Kendra and Wendy can’t I can’t wait to see how they are going to do. How do you feel about this season’s cast. Is it worth watching. Sound off in the comments. ~Motormouth
